Last Class (continued)

This year... I was surprised to see a variety of students in class... Some nice.. some.. well.. not so nice.. I was like.. hmm.. howta handle.. Funny thing was.. when everyone got together.. we produced fun.. a symphony of friendship..

We went through two events.. and survived them both.. we went through heartaches, heartbreaks, got to know each other more, and I regret not having more time to spend with all of you...

You all taught me a lot of stuff, some useful.. some.. well.. not so useful.. and I thank you all for that.. To those whom I offended throughout this year.. well I apologize.. To those whom I lost my temper at.. my apologies.. To those who listened to me.. even as I did not take kindly to some advice.. I thank you all..

Some of us will be leaving Taylors.. to pursue their ambitions.. some are going into UNISA.. although different majorings.. No matter what you all do.. I wish you all luck.. and hope that you all will succeed in what ever you do.. and whenever you all wanna chitchat or yamchar.. call me up eh?

Will miss those whom are leaving.. emotional and sentimental I am.. sigh..

As time goes by,
Your faces remain in my heart,
Never to fade away,
Miss you I will,
Forget you I will not.

Our time together was short,
Though memorable,
Help and support we gave each other,
To survive through every hardship.

Heartaches, heartbreaks,
Many of us encountered,
But stay strong we all will,
For we are friends and classmates.

FICM July '08,
Cohort 6,
Thanks for the times together,
And good luck everyone!

Maturity and Last Class

I was asked to grow up, by many of my friends and classmates, relatives as well. But I wish to remain young always. Our time in this world is short, and if we take things too seriously, then life will be boring.

I look on the humorous side of things in situations, and because of that, I got into a fight with a friend, and I regret it a lot. Although one always says one should have his/her way of thinking. I have found that, there are many situations that one comes across, that cannot be solved easily, and through trial and error, Laughter is the best medicine. Laughing at ones own fears allows one to know that fears are just in the mind. Laughing at ones own weaknesses is a form of acknowledgement, and acknowledgement is always the first step to overcoming them.

Has one ever thought that by showing maturity, one places himself in the forefront of everything? If one hides his true face behind a face of immaturity, no one takes one properly, and hence, one is able to surprise others through his actions.

Consider this when one encounters any difficult situations: Sometimes the best solution is the easiest one.

For now, this is the last class of the semester. To all ones classmates, one wishes that time together wasn't so short, though one feels that as time goes by, one will lose even more friends.

For now, one would like to apologize to all whom one has offended, and that one's classmates will always be remembered, and will always be considered as one's friend.

Call one out to drink or to chitchat anytime. See everyone next time.

Death of a Great One

Friends, family, and readers. Let us all come together to mourn the passing of someone whom we all have come to love. His name is Michael Jackson. Let us all have a moment of silence in respect of his greatness.

Thank you.

As the wise Bruce Lee, who also died in his prime, said: The Key to Immortality is First Living a Life Worth Living. That is true for all the Great Ones out there. They may have moved on, but in the hearts of their fans, their shows, songs, moves, will live on forever.

Michael Jackson joins the list of those long dead in Heaven, and he will be entertaining everyone up there, who have the privilege of enjoying what we cannot see anymore, with his great songs and dance moves.

You all, who are gathered here today, do you still remember his moves? His famous Moonwalk, that had the young generation copying it all the time? Thriller, who spawned countless copies, of them the most famous being the Hindi movie? Yes, all these, will live on within us, nonetheless his private life, remember the swinging of the baby on the balcony?

Aye, the world had lost a great one today, who was on the verge of touring the world, but rejoice! For as long as there are humans in the world, he will live on forever, along with other greats such as The King of Rock and Roll!

Viva la Michael Jackson and Elvis Presley!

Readers

Recently, I just found out, some of my classmates are reading my blog! Wonderful! Wonder when the whole world will take notice? Though may be asking for too much...

Evan Almighty... remember? A spin-off Bruce Almighty. Cute show... Especially the phrase: Changing the World.. one act at a time, A Random act of Kindness.

Though this show may not be very nice... but the moral value it gives is very meaningful. I used to wonder what I could do, why I was needed in this world... when not many things went my way. After I watched this movie, I found out that, one does have a purpose in life, and that he/she may spend a whole lifetime finding it out, or if lucky, find out immediately.

Some people are destined for greatness, some are not that useful, but everyone, has a purpose in life, a path, a journey that one has to take, no matter what. As long as one keeps this thought in mind, why would one want to end one's life so early, when one has a purpose?

Though sometimes, one may be misguided, leading one down the wrong path in life. Keep the thought in mind, one can make a change, and, one may be the person to do it!

Remember, my readers, until the next time.

Welcome back!!

I'm back! After almost 1 week of being away.

To start off, my sympathies to the recently broken up couple.

Life is filled with obstacles, but it is getting through them, the process of overcoming those obstacles that makes one stronger. Each obstacle is harder than the first, but with support from friends and family, one finds the power within himself to become stronger to overcome them.

Each obstacle, aye, is difficult. Each obstacle, may cause us to make sacrifices. But that does not mean we have to give up once we encounter an obstacle that seems insurmountable, does it? If we give up too easily, will there be anyone left in this world? Though for one, there will be less bad guys around, as they would all have killed themselves while searching for solutions to those decisions that made them become who they are.

Important thing is to remember: No man is an island. No matter what, one has always people behind one, to give support, to lend a shoulder, as long as one knows how and where to look for it.

One may think: who am I to be giving advice? As the Chinese saying goes: Show me any three people, and I will show you the things I can learn from them.

Everyone can learn something from others, and as long as one keeps an open and receptive mind, then only one can improve.

For now, it is time to part. I wish all my readers luck in everything you do, and remember, you are not alone in this world.

Looking on the bright side of things!

Sometimes, I felt that the world was crushing me with all the pressures, with all the stress and disappointment, making me feel like taking the easy way out. Luckily, I did not.

I came across this saying one day :Always look for the silver lining on a dark cloud, the bright side of things, and you will be surprised at the result of it.

It has made me a happier person, one who can see the funny side of things, no matter how stressful it is. As long as one applys this princile, one will not fail, has no reason to fall down a hole.

So cheer up, readers, and if you need help in finding the happy side of things, just leave me a note, and I will show you the way to enlightenment!

Drag Me To Hell

The picture showed something good, I admit. The description was crappy. What does it mean by "She has a great job, a loving boyfriend, but in three days, shes going to hell."?

I was like: Huh?

The director, according to my mother, is famous for twists and turns, loud sounds, that can cause one to jump out of ones seat. Perhaps it is good that cinema seats do not provide safety belts?

It started slow, then picked up speed, climaxed near the end, and just as the viewers think its over, there comes a twist of fate.

Overall, 3.5/5

For those who hate loud sounds, this may not be the movie for you. For those who like twists and turns, go ahead. Just don't say I did not warn ya.

Scary.

JQ's birthday yesterday, Happy Belated Birthday! Jazreens birthday today, Happy Birthday!

Linked and Kuekhuatsu

Wow.. me blog linked to another's blog.. Since like that, then better fill this blog up...

Wolverine... my favorite X-man, was shown one and a half months back. This movie gives us the history of Wolverine, and why he became mortal enemies with his half-brother, Sabretooth, aka Victor Creed. This movie also shows the painful treatment of him by William Stryker, another familiar face, the addition of adamantium into his body, and coating his bones, making him the way he is now. Throughout the movie, we see the appearance of many mutants, some familiar, some new faces. The familiar ones include, Scott Summers, aka Cyclops, Remy Lebeau, aka Gambit, Fred Dukes (for those who watch the cartoon), aka the Blob, and finally, Professor Charles Xavier, the founder of the X-men, but with a twist, being him not a crippled in this show.

Aye... Wolverine has had most of his secrets revealed with this movie, but for those X-men fans out there like me, I believe that you all should watch it for entertainment, as this movie is different from the normal X-men we know of and love, but it kinda fills up the gaps created by some of the X-men movies. It would be interesting to see a sequel of this show.

Finished Belgariad

What a surprise! Though if one has read Belgarath and Polgara before, one would know about the future of the farm boy. The story of a young farm lad's rise to fame. But instead of letting me spoil everything for one, one should go pick it up and have a read.

One would be surprised at how well the late Eddings can write, and twist everything, in one page, the reader may be reading about something, and it may change completely in the next page, making his works exciting to read about!

Though this post is short, it concludes the entire series, as I do not wish to spoil it for everyone. Till next time, tata.

The Belgariad Series

Taking time off to read fiction eh? Yea.. stress and problems.. need to find ways to relax.. This is the name of a five-book series that I am currently reading. The author of this book is the late David Eddings, whom sadly to say, died of old age on June 2nd of this year. His wife, who died 2 years back, has also assisted in writing a few other books as well. Their works include The Malloreon Series, The Elenium Series, The Tamuli Series, The Redemption of Arthalus, and many others.

Of them all, the Belgariad Series is probably the earliest series he started, dating from 1982, and 1984, from the Pawn of Prophecy to The Enchanters' End Game.

Belgarath the Sorcerer and Polgara the Sorceress were later written in 1995 and 1997 respectively, and were meant as prequels to the above mentioned series. These books can probably be found in your local bookstores, if you have yet to read them.

The first book, the Pawns of Prophecy gives a brief history of the events that had transpired up to this point, and also serves as a brief introduction to the various main characters, though if one feels lost, it would be advisable to pick up a copy of both Belgarath the Sorcerer and Polgara the Sorceress, to put one back on track.

From what I've read so far, the series is about a young farmboy, who is tossed into the deep end of adventures, and races against time and enemies to recover a lost Jewel. Along the way, he meets many different characters, and learns of his true place and path of life in the vast world out there. He experiences a lot for a boy his age, and quickly learns that in order to survive, he has to grow up and mature into his hidden abilities. Soon, he finds out who he truly is, and the role he plays in saving the world.

For now, this can be said as one of the best fiction I've ever read, and I feel that not enough credit is given to it, and the late Eddings should be commended for his writings, though his closest friend mentioned that he was working on another piece before his death.

As for those of you out there, readers of my blog, my advice to you is to pick up a copy of his works for enjoyment, like what I did, though never let it interfere with school.

Till next time. Tata..
